Cardio Room Guidelines

BEFORE YOU VISIT THE Y

MAKE A RESERVATION

Reservations for cardio and weight rooms are available on an hourly basis through our current reservation system. You can reserve your space 24 hours prior to your activity through the “classes & schedules” section of our website or the YMCA mobile app.

  • Members must sign up for individual reservations
  • Reservations are for Facility Members only
  • Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Reservations open 24 hours prior to the scheduled class time
  • Reservations will close when class begins or at start of reservation
  • Reservations will be limited to 45-minute segments
  • No drop-ins during the initial phase of reopening
  • Please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend

  1. Log into your YMCA Membership Account.
  2. Once logged in, click on “my account” and then “view account” in the drop-down.
  3. On the view your account page, select Briggs/Plum in the drop-down to view the facility capacity area-specific counts for first-come, first-served rooms.

FACILITY HOURS
Please be aware that facility hours have been modified and daily closures for cleaning purposes will take place. To check these hours before your visit refer to our website HERE.

NO LOCKER ROOMS
All members should come ready & dressed to workout. Locker rooms will not be available to change in or store personal items; please limit the number of personal belongings you bring with you into the facility.

SAFETY
Throughout your workout please follow our posted Cardio Room rules & safety procedures and practice social distancing.

BRING YOUR WATER BOTTLE
Water fountains will be limited to bottle filling stations only. Please bring a non-breakable water bottle prefilled.

ENTERING THE Y

CHECKING-IN TO THE CARDIO ROOM

All members will enter through the front doors and check-in at the Welcome Center. Please be sure to arrive on time for your reservation. If you arrive early to your reservation time, this may result in waiting.

CARDIO ROOM CAPACITY LIMIT
Capacity limits for the Cardio Room will be set based on current guidelines from state and local officials. If the total capacity of the Cardio Room has been met, please be prepared to wait until a piece of equipment opens up, or feel free to exit the facility and come back at a later time. Please do not congregate while waiting for equipment.

Y MEMBERS
Only active Facility Members will be permitted to check-in and use the Y. If you need to activate your membership or sign up for a Y membership, please talk with our Welcome Center staff.

During Your Workout

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND CARING OF OTHERS BY DOING THE FOLLOWING:

SHARING SPACE
For your safety, we have removed pieces of cardio equipment from use, to allow social distancing protocol. If all pieces of cardio equipment are currently in use, please wait in the designated areas and/or exit through the end of the hallway out of the facility. Please do not congregate while waiting for equipment.

SANITIZE EQUIPMENT
Members must wipe down high-touch surfaces, including seats, handles, and pull pins, with spray bottle solution after use. Additionally, members may experience wait times to allow time for extra sanitization of equipment in the Cardio Room.

LIMITED CARDIO TIME
Please limit your time in the Cardio Room to no more than 45 minutes.

PERSONAL ITEMS
Due to CDC guidelines, the locker rooms will not be available to store personal items. The Welcome Desk will not be providing locks or storing any member personal items.

EXITING THE Y

EXITING THE CARDIO ROOM

Once your cardio time is done and your equipment wiped down, you will be asked to exit the facility. Please follow the directional signs and exit the facility through the designated exit doors.
