Sharon is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator who has worked in the field of nutrition for over 25 years. She works at St. Peter Hospital in the diabetes clinic and the teen pregnancy clinic. At the Y, she has been the leader of our ACT program and has taught many cooking classes. She also works with members to develop a personalized nutrition plan that improves their health and fits their lifestyle.

ALEXIA

With the long-term goal of becoming a physical therapist, Alexia uses personal training as a way to apply her knowledge while helping others regain control of their bodies and their lives. Her fitness journey began as a teen with a desire to feel more toned and confident, but it quickly evolved into a deeper focus on strength, control, and functional movement. Wanting to feel capable in the activities she loves—such as snowboarding, kayaking, and hiking—shaped her understanding of what true fitness means. Driven by a passion for health and wellness, she now helps others through their own fitness journeys, focusing not only on physical appearance, but on mental confidence and the ability to move well. To her, fitness is about functionality, resilience, and living life fully.

BRAD

After retiring from a 43-year Nursing career, Brad missed being of service to others. To continue his passion for helping others, Brad now works as a wellness coach and personal trainer at the South Sound YMCA. He enjoys training with older adults, individuals with chronic health conditions, and weight/loss management. With his Nursing background, he enjoys pre-habilitation training for members who have scheduled surgeries or procedures, and desire the best possible post operative outcomes.

As a former athlete and current coach, Brandell thrives in the gym environment. He’s passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals by creating personalized, engaging, and results-driven training experiences for everyone he works with. With hands-on experience in mobility, resistance, and strength training, Brandell enjoys working with individuals of all fitness levels who are ready to commit to their wellness journey.

When he’s not in the weight room, you’ll probably find Brandell on the basketball court or on the golf course having fun!

Camille is a lifelong runner who started attending strength and endurance training to help sustain her running career. Camille was deeply inspired by all the instructors at the Y that worked with her to take the steps to join the team! Camille hopes to pass on the passion and inspiration for fitness and strength to more people for many years to come!

Daniel’s motivation behind working out goes beyond going to the gym and lifting weights. Daniel will help you reach your goals through a shifted mindset of determination, hard work, and passion. HEATHER

Heather is a certified personal trainer through NCSF and loves to help others transform their lives through fitness, providing personalized training plans that take her client’s schedules, goals, preferences, limitations, and experience in mind. Her experience as a former college swimmer, professional dancer, and group fitness instructor have all led to her multifaceted and inclusive approach to fitness.

A one size fits all cookie-cutter approach disregards the uniqueness of each client.  She believes that a person’s time in the gym should improve their quality of life outside the gym, so she strives to provide her clients with a workout plan that is tailored to their needs, ultimately becoming a foundation for lifelong success. She holds Group Fitness certifications through AFAA and is in the process of completing her sports nutrition certification through NCSF.

Heather enjoys helping people fit exercise into their lives in a way that is positive and sustainable for each individual. She works to create programs with her clients that are personalized for them and make each individual want to continue working out beyond personal training sessions. She enjoys working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and specializes in exercise programming for clients with osteoporosis.

LANCE

Lance has always enjoyed training, but everything changed when he set clear goals while preparing for the firefighter test. Through that journey, he discovered a true passion for sculpting and strengthening his body and experienced real confidence in his own skin for the first time. Now, he’s dedicated to helping others achieve their own transformations. Lance enjoys working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels, guiding them toward confidence, motivation, and lasting results.

MATISMELA

Matsimela has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. He was a certified personal trainer in Washington, D.C. for 8 years before moving out West and pursuing an ACSM CPT certification. His training philosophy is centered around cultivating the client’s strength, power, mobility, and cognitive function. In short, he likes to help people move, look, and feel better!

When Matsimela is not in the gym, he can be found studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai. His passion for fitness & lifelong dedication to this industry has given him extensive knowledge. He can’t wait to help you reach your fullest potential!

Raff is an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science. He’s dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential through evidence-based training. He creates personalized programs for all experience levels, focusing on proper technique, confidence, and consistent progress.

Raff specializes in hypertrophy, strength training, and mobility development. He emphasizes quality movement, smart progression, and sustainable habits, supporting members of all ages as they build physical and mental strength – one rep at a time.

Carlee is a Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Wellness Coach who helps clients build strength, improve movement quality, and create sustainable habits that support long-term health.

With firsthand experience navigating a 140-pound weight loss, her approach is rooted in both professional knowledge and lived understanding. She blends evidence-based training with mindful movement to help clients feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.
