Membership Terms and Conditions

MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT:

Membership dues are paid monthly through convenient, automatic withdrawals from your bank account, credit/debit card or annually. In the event of a declined transaction, the Y will pursue collection, including making multiple attempts to process charges and may charge collection fees. It is the member’s responsibility to notify the Y of changes in payment method, address or email. Rates are subject to change, but the Y will notify members in advance of increases by mail or email. Any billing discrepancy needs to be brought to the Y’s attention within sixty (60) days after it is processed. After sixty (60) days, withdrawals can no longer be disputed.

Membership Cancellation:

The South Sound YMCA provides two easy ways to cancel your membership!

  1. Log on to your membership account – https://southsound.recliquecore.com/core/
  2. Stop by any South Sound YMCA branch and speak to a membership staff

You will receive receipt of your cancellation request.   We do not accept membership cancellation requests by e-mail or over the phone.

Membership Hold Policy:

For a membership hold to be activated, a Hold Agreement Waiver must be signed. Holds go into effect for the next billing cycle after notice is received. The Y will charge a $10.00 per month processing fee each month membership is on hold regardless of membership type. This will occur on the member recurring membership draft date. Processing fees for membership holds are non-refundable.

There is no duration limit for membership holds. It is the members’ responsibility to notify the Y to end the Membership Hold. Please call or visit a YMCA branch to request the hold end either through reactivation or termination. You may scan into any branch using your membership card – this will trigger staff to make your membership active again. At that time, you will be charged the current month’s prorated membership dues.
