HOW DO I USE THE APP?

CAN I STILL USE MY CURRENT SOUTH SOUND YMCA APP?
No. Other South Sound YMCA apps will no longer be supported.
WHY DOES THE APP ASK TO ACCESS MY PHOTOS?
For xCapture to work (Record a Workout), the app needs access to your camera so you can take a photo of your workout.
WHY DOES THE APP ASK TO ACCESS MY CONTACTS?
Our app requests access to your contacts for the refer a friend feature. This allows you to use your contact list when referring friends to the app.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT MY WORKOUTS HIGHLIGHTED ON THE ACTIVITY FEED?
Please go to the “Side Menu” and click “Privacy” to control your profile settings.
WHAT IS EGYM?
The eGym solution is a cloud-connected system that combines intelligent software with the latest fitness equipment to provide you with a training experience that is easy to use, fun, and motivating.
WHAT IS AN XID?
Your xID is a universal sign-in for connected fitness equipment, mobile apps, and websites. Sign in with your xID on Matrix equipment and your workout is automatically tracked in the app.
HOW DO I SET UP MY XID?
The easiest place to set up your xID is in the Netpulse app. We recommend using your phone number for both your xID and pin.

WHAT IF I FORGET MY XID PASSCODE?
You can reset passwords on the YMCA app. Hamburger tray in upper right under xID settings or on the workout tracking website.
WHAT IF I GET A LOADING ERROR MESSAGE?
Close the app, shut off wifi and turn it back on.
WILL THE APP CONNECT TO ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT CURRENTLY AT THE Y?
xCapture will work on all of our current cardio equipment.
HOW DO I TRACK NON-MATRIX WORKOUTS?
To record your pickup basketball game or Zumba class, select “Record a Workout”. Log your details or take a picture of your treadmill screen on older equipment using “xCapture”. Check out video tutorials on how to maximize the Matrix machines.
WHY IS THERE A LAG TIME BETWEEN SYNCHING MY WORKOUT DEVICE AND THE NETPULSE APP?
It may take 24-48 hours for workouts to sync through apps and wearables to show up in your workout history.
