LIVE PERFORMANCE BY ANJALI SILVA
Anjali Silva is recognized globally for her warmly, sensuous voice as one of the most “graceful and energetic vocal stylists” (Donald Acosta). A Mexican-Portuguese American, Anjali grew up in the culturally diverse San Francisco Bay Area. Her proficiency of world music genres, including Brazilian, American jazz, Latin American, and East Indian vocals allow her to transcend the conventional boundaries of genre to create music that is universal in its appeal.
Anjali’s singing can be heard on over a dozen music projects. She performed nationally and internationally on radio, television; at prestigious jazz festivals and venues, and for such luminaries as Joan Baez, Gloria Steinem, and The Manhattan Transfer.
