[OLYMPIA, WA – August 20, 2026] — The South Sound YMCA Board of Trustees is launching a comprehensive, nationwide search for the organization’s next President & Chief Executive Officer. The search will be facilitated by YMCA of the USA and led by a search committee chaired by Anthony Brock.
The Board expects to name a successor by January 2027, supporting a smooth transition and continued momentum for the South Sound YMCA.
“The board is truly grateful for everything Kyle has done to improve the South Sound YMCA and create change in our community,” said Brock. “Kyle’s legacy is his investment in people, including remarkable staff, volunteers, and the kids and families who call our region home. He leaves us in a place that will allow us to hire a phenomenal new CEO who will take us to new heights as an organization.”
The next President & CEO will lead the South Sound YMCA as it continues serving Thurston and Mason counties, expanding access to programs and services, strengthening community partnerships and advancing plans for future growth, including a new YMCA branch in Lacey.
The South Sound YMCA has served the region for more than 120 years and operates three branches, youth development and childcare programs, and community initiatives that help individuals and families learn, grow and thrive.
